Actor Allu Arjun made history by winning the National Award for Best Actor for his blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise. The announcement was made on Thursday during the 69th National Film Awards. Shortly after being announced as the winner of the Best Actor award, Allu and the team celebrated this moment with a video online.

In the video, Allu Arjun was seen getting emotional as he embraced director Sukumar with warmth. The rest of the film’s team cheered for the actor and celebrated the occasion. Media and photographers were also present as the film team shared this announcement together.

Pushpa: The Rise is the first film in the franchise directed by Sukumar. Released on December 17, 2021, Allu Arjun portrayed the role of Pushparaj, also known as Pushpa, in the film. He plays a truck driver who is involved in sandalwood smuggling for a living. Rashmika Mandanna played the main female character Srivalli, and Fahadh Faasil was presented as the main antagonist.

Allu Arjun responded to Junior NTR’s tweet In the midst of this, Junior NTR tweeted for Allu Arjun, saying, “Congratulations @alluarjun. You deserve the success and awards for Pushpa.” Responding to this, the actor commented, “Thank you so much for your heartfelt wishes, brother. Hugs. Humble.”

Chiranjeevi Kondela also tweeted Chiranjeevi Kondela also wrote on the micro-blogging site, “Heartfelt congratulations to all the winners of the 69th National Film Awards 2021!
