“Very lovely,” Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah said as he congratulated Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi on becoming a father and expressed his gratitude for the gift.

A small video clip that went viral on social media shows both fast bowlers warmly welcoming each other, with Shaheen Afridi extending congratulations and best wishes to the Indian fast bowler on becoming a father.

In the meantime, it can be observed that Bumrah is thanking the Pakistani fast bowler for this gesture.

“‘Very lovely’ – Bumrah can be heard reacting to Shaheen Afridi goodwill.

On his official social media account, Shaheen Afridi wrote: “Love and peace. Congratulations to @Jaspritbumrah93 and family on the birth of your child. Prayers for the entire family. We battle on the field. Off the field we are just your regular humans.

Responding to Shaheen Afridi social media post, Bumrah stated that he and his family are “touched” by the love shown by the Pakistani pacer.

Indian right-arm fast bowler Bumrah had announced the birth of a child at the beginning of this month on September 4th.

It should be noted that due to the birth of his child, Bumrah had to leave India’s camp in Sri Lanka just before their final group-stage match against Nepal.

After fulfilling his family duties, he returned to the camp and was in today’s lineup to face arch-rivals Pakistan.

During the match between Pakistani and Indian players, they may be rivals on the field, but overall, they share positive relations.

In the lead-up to the Pakistan-India Super 4 match, Indian captain Virat Kohli met with the entire Pakistani team and shared some beautiful moments.

Not only Kohli but also Pakistan’s Haris Rauf was seen having a conversation with India’s Mohammad Siraj outside the nets.

Pakistan captain Babar Azam and Imam-ul-Haq were seen interacting with India’s Rohit Sharma outside the nets as well.

It is worth mentioning that the high-voltage clash of the Asia Cup 2023’s Super 4 matches between Pakistan and India began again today after being suspended a day earlier. Saturday’s match had to be canceled due to rain during the ‘reserve day.’

Rain had been intermittent since the morning, and the sky was overcast with dark clouds, while strong winds continued in Colombo.

According to the Sri Lankan Meteorological Department, heavy rain is expected in the afternoon.

It should be noted that in the Super 4 matches of the Asia Cup 2023, Pakistan won the toss against India and decided to bowl first.
