The trailer of Chandramukhi 2 featuring Kangana Ranaut in the lead role, known for her dance and beauty, has finally been released in Chennai amidst much anticipation and fanfare. Kangana looks stunning in the main role as she portrays the character of a dancer in the court of King Vettaiyan Rajah, celebrated for her beauty and dancing skills.

The trailer of Chandramukhi 2 begins with a large joint family coming to stay in a mansion with the intention of solving a problem. However, they should avoid going to the southern block of the mansion where the beautiful Chandramukhi resides. The story of Chandramukhi takes a new turn 17 years later, as it connects a 200-year-old tale of a king named Chandramukhi and a court dancer with the present.


For the trailer launch event in Chennai, Kangana Ranaut was dressed in a yellow and blue saree with a strapless blouse. She had her hair tied up in a bun adorned with a gajra (flower garland).

Directed by P. Vasu, Chandramukhi 2 stars Vadivelu, Radhika Sarathkumar, Lakshmi Menon, Srishti Dange, Mithun Shyam, Mahima Nambiar, Ravi Ramesh, Vignesh, Ravi Maria, Suresh Menon, T.M. Karthik, and Subhiksha Krishnan alongside Kangana Ranaut and Raghav Lawrence. This Tamil horror-comedy is the sequel to the blockbuster Chandramukhi, which featured Rajinikanth and Jyotika in lead roles. Produced by Lyca Productions and Subaskaran, the film will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada on September 15th, coinciding with Ganesh Chaturthi.

The audio launch for Chandramukhi 2 took place in Chennai last month. Oscar-winning composer M.M. Keeravani has composed the music for the film and praised Kangana’s remarkable performance, saying, “Everyone will be amazed by Kangana’s astounding acting as Chandramukhi on the big screen.” Kangana shared pictures with Keeravani at the event and wrote on her Instagram story, “With my all-time favorite and India’s pride, Academy and National Award winner Shri M.M. Keeravani.”

Some songs from the film have already been released. Kangana plays the role of Chandramukhi in the song “Swagatam,” sung by Srinidhi Tirumala and written by Chaitanya Prasad. The song “Moruniye,” featuring Raghav Lawrence, has been music-composed by M.M. Keeravani, with vocals by SP Charan and Harika Narayan, and lyrics by Vivek.
