Every year, Apple participates in its September event to unveil its latest iPhones, and this year is no different. After months of speculation, Apple has finally confirmed the launch date for the new iPhone 15 series. The company will be hosting the event on September 12th, marked as the Wonderlust Event.
The event will be livestreamed on Apple’s official channels, including YouTube, the company’s official website, and Apple’s official channels. For viewers in India, the event will kick off at 10:30 PM.
Just like every year, Apple is gearing up to introduce its latest iPhones at the September event, and this year is no exception. We’re also anticipating the unveiling of the latest series of Apple Watch along with the new iPhone 15 lineup.
According to the company’s track record, among all the products set to launch on September 12th, the iPhone 15 might see the highest sales, especially in the non-pro models. To the extent that even the non-pro iPhone models are expected to receive significant upgrades this year. Apple will present two size options: the iPhone 15 with a 6.1-inch display and the iPhone 15 Plus with a 6.7-inch display.
The most anticipated change is a reduction in the size of the notch. After the launch of the iPhone X series, this will be the first iPhone lineup to feature a smaller notch. Instead of that, Apple will introduce a more affordable iPhone lineup. Additionally, there’s hope for new color options for the iPhone 15. As for performance, the iPhone 15 non-pro model will feature the 4nm A16 Bionic chipset.
iPhone 15 Pro
The iPhone 15 Pro models will also come in two size options. The iPhone 15 Pro will have a 6.1-inch display, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max will feature a 6.7-inch display. The dynamic pill design will continue with the iPhone 15 Pro models. However, compared to the iPhone 14 Pro models, thinner bezels on the display are expected.
Another notable change is the use of titanium for the frame of the new Apple iPhone 15 Pro models. The iPhone 15 Pro Max model might also receive a major camera upgrade in the form of a periscope lens, enabling 5x-6x optical zoom.
Apple Watch Series 9 and New Apple Watch Ultra
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple will present three new smartwatches with the codenames N207, N208, and N210 on September 12th. The Apple Watch Series 9 is expected to come in two different sizes, and there’s anticipation for an updated version of the Apple Watch Ultra, which was first launched last year.
The Apple Watch Series 9 might bring only a few incremental changes. The changes in the Ultra model are still shrouded in mystery, but some reports suggest it might come with a larger display.
