Ind vs SL Final: India will face Sri Lanka in the final of the Asia Cup 2023 on September 17th. Hopes are high for the batsmen to benefit from the pitch, while spinners are also expected to gain an advantage.

India vs Sri Lanka  Asia Cup Finals Update:

India will take on Sri Lanka in the Asia cup finals today in Colombo. This historic final clash is set to begin at 3 PM according to Indian Standard Time at the P.A.R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Both teams are on equal footing in the Asia Cup, having each secured 11 victories.

The Indian team, led by Virat Kohli (C), Jasprit Bumrah (VC), and Kuldeep Yadav, signaled their readiness before the start of the Asia Cup 2023 Super Four One-Day International (ODI) cricket match between India and Bangladesh on September 15, 2023, at the Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

Due to a hamstring injury to Mahesh Thikshana Hamstring, he will not be able to play in the match, which is likely to clear the way for leg-spinner Dushmantha Hemanta to take the field.

India and Sri Lanka share the record for the most ODIs played between any two teams, with a total of 166 international matches. India has won 97 of them, while Sri Lanka has secured victory in 57. Additionally, 11 matches ended in a “No Result,” and one match ended in a tie.

Colombo’s P.A.R. Premadasa Stadium is renowned for its batting-friendly pitches. Teams setting targets have achieved more favorable results compared to chasing teams as the game progresses. This benefits the spinners. However, the main concern is rain, which has disrupted several matches in the tournament this year.

In the expected XI for the Asia Cup final between Sri Lanka and India, Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul (wicket-keeper), Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Jasprit Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav, and Mohammed Siraj are included.
