After months of rehabilitation in the NCA, Jasprit Bumrah is back in action with full vigor
Following the defeat in the T20 series against West Indies, the focus has shifted to Ireland. India will be playing a three-match series there, starting from Friday, August 18th. While this series might be less significant due to being a one-day World Cup year, hopes will be high for Team India to get back on the winning track.
This series signifies the return of India’s star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, who was out of action since September last year. He missed the T20 World Cup and IPL due to injuries. Bumrah has returned after recovering from a back injury, for which he underwent surgery.

After spending months at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore, Bumrah is back to bowling with full intensity, as seen in the videos shared by BCCI on social media.
In a 14-second clip, Bumrah can be seen delivering a swift bouncer and a yorker that dismantles a batsman’s finger in breathtaking fashion, indicating positive signs for India as the World Cup approaches.
This series also provides an opportunity to assess Bumrah’s match fitness after his long injury layoff.
The series will begin on August 18th, and all three matches will be played at The Village in Dublin.
