Sanju Samson

Following India’s announcement of the team for the Australia series, Irfan Pathan has shared an explosive message about Sanju Samson

While announcing the Indian team for the series, in which superstars Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, and Kuldeep Yadav will not be part of the first two matches, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has still chosen to overlook wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson. This is because the star batsman failed to make a comeback in the Indian team for the Australia series. Reacting to the announcement of the Indian team for the three-match series against Australia, former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan released an interesting statement on Monday.

‘If I were in Sanju Samson’s place…’

After India announced its team for the Australia series, former cricketer Irfan Pathan tweeted, “If I were Sanju Samson right now, I would be very disappointed.”

Ashwin’s Return Confirmed Ahead of World Cup

Where Rahul and Kishan are the top contenders for wicketkeeping for India, star batsmen Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, and Shubman Gill have retained their place in the one-day team. Young talent Tilak Varma has been included in India’s team for the first two one-day internationals against Australia. The return of Ashwin was the most discussed topic after the announcement of the Indian team.

Senior all-rounder Ashwin was not part of India’s 15-member squad for the World Cup. Ashwin also failed to perform well in helping India win the Asia Cup. However, after a hamstring injury to Akshar Patel, Ashwin secured his return to the one-day setup. Spin-bowling all-rounder Ashwin last played an ODI match for India in 2022.
