Actress Nushrratt Bharuccha trapped found herself stranded in Israel during the Hamas attacks. She was in Haifa for the first screening of her film, “Akeli.” Nushrratt Bharuccha had travelled to Israel to participate in a film festival.
After the terrorist attacks by Hamas and the ensuing conflict in Israel, efforts are underway to bring back the actress safely to India. Earlier, there were reports that her team had lost contact with her.
“We have finally managed to establish contact with Nushrratt Bharuccha, and with the assistance of the embassy, she is being safely brought back home. She couldn’t get a direct flight, so she will be returning via a connecting flight. For security reasons, we cannot share further details at this time, but as soon as she arrives in India, we will provide updates,” stated a 38-year-old actor in a statement. He continued, “We are relieved and grateful to God that she is safe and returning to India.” Nushrratt Bharuccha was in Haifa for an international film festival.

So far, nearly 500 people have lost their lives in Israel due to Hamas rocket attacks and retaliatory strikes.
Amid widespread condemnation of terrorist attacks, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to retaliate for the “Black Day.” He said, “Hamas has initiated a cruel and evil war. Despite the unbearable cost, we will emerge victorious in this war.”
In a continuing statement during the conflict, the Palestinian Authority said, “It has protested against the consequences of its failure to obstruct the political horizon and the Palestinian people’s exercise of their legitimate rights to self-determination and the establishment of their state over an extended period.” Repeated warnings have been issued.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed deep concern over the reports of terrorist attacks in Israel. He stated, “During this challenging time, we stand united with Israel.”
Indian citizens in Israel have been advised to remain vigilant and follow security protocols. The Indian embassy has issued a recommendation, stating, “Please exercise caution, avoid unnecessary noise, and stay close to security shelters.”
