OnePlus is all set to unveil its first foldable smartphone, the OnePlus Open, at an event held in Mumbai. The event will kick off at 7:30 PM and will be live-streamed on the company’s official YouTube channel.

During the “Open For Everything Event,” the company will present the key features and capabilities of the product. According to OnePlus, their first foldable phone “challenges traditional standards” and “aims to eliminate the boundaries that often affect most foldable devices.”

According to leaks, the OnePlus Open is based on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The phone boasts up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. Additionally, the company claims that the OnePlus Open offers a “fast and seamless experience” just like previous OnePlus devices.

OnePlus has already confirmed that the Open features a new hinge system crafted from premium materials with just 69 components. The device will also include an alert slider, a key feature on OnePlus phones, and come with highly customized third-party apps like Facebook. It is expected to be launched in at least two colour variants and may also have some form of water resistance.
