Ever since he posted a tweet about Chandrayaan-3‘s moon landing, netizens criticized him and demanded the actor’s arrest. Prior to this, two complaints were already filed against Prakash Raj, including one involving a Governor, in which a complaint was lodged in Karnataka. It’s reported that S.B. Gayakwad, a supporter of the Sangh Parivar, has filed a complaint with the police in Bagalkot district and another individual named Pramod N. from Shimoga has sent an email complaint to the Governor, demanding action against the actor.
The hashtag ‘Arrest Prakash Raj‘ is trending on Twitter. Even when the actor clarified that the post was meant as a joke, the trend continued on social media. A social media user wrote, “Prakash Raj made fun of India’s ambitious third lunar mission #Chandrayaan3.” Another user commented, “We thought Prakash Raj only played the role of a traitor in movies, but treachery runs in his blood…!! While opposing the government might be your constitutional right, opposing the country is never acceptable. #ArrestPrakashRaj.”
