Rajkumar Hirani and Shah Rukh Khan’s dream project Dunki is expected to collect about Rs 30 crore on its day 1 as per industry tracker Sacnilk. It is the lowest day 1 collection for a Shah Rukh Khan starrer this year. The film carried a lot of expectation but fans were not exactly happy with the final outcome on the big screen. A common reaction to the film was that though SRK delivered a great performance, he was let down by the writing and direction. Now coming to Salaar, the film began showcasing as early at 1 AM and 3 AM is getting mostly positive buzz from the fans and its advance booking is bigger than day 1 collection of SRK’s Dunki. Sacnilk reports that Salaar has sold about 223834 tickets across the country amassing an advance total of Rs 48.94 crore, a near Rs 19 crore head start. The final day 1 count would take a while to come in but going by the positive word of mouth, the film could reach anywhere close to Rs 90 odd crore, making it one of the biggest day 1 collections.
Besides Prabhas, the film also stars Prithivraj, Shruti Haasan, Tinnu Anand, Jagapathi Babu, Easwari Rao and Sriya Reddy.
