Stock Market Today: In the stock market today, which is Wednesday, October 11th, there was a consecutive second day of gains. The Sensex saw a rise of 393 points, closing at 66,473 points. Similarly, the Nifty also saw an increase of 121 points, closing at 19,811 points. Among the 30 stocks in the Sensex, 24 showed gains while only 6 experienced declines.

Buying was observed in realty, auto, and infrastructure shares, while energy, FMCG, and pharma indices closed higher. IT and PSU banking shares faced some pressure. On Wednesday, the Indian Rupee closed at 83.18 against the US Dollar, gaining 7 paise.

IRM Energy’s IPO is set to open on October 18th. The gas distribution company is aiming to raise 545.40 crore rupees through this initial public offering. Retail investors can bid for this IPO until October 20th, and the company’s shares will be listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on October 31st.

There is some weakness in crude oil prices, with Brent Crude trading below $88 per barrel and WTI Crude trading at around $86.20 per barrel. Gold prices have seen a slight softening but are still trading around $1875 per ounce, while silver prices remain above $22 per ounce.

In today’s central cabinet meeting, royalty rates for lithium, niobium, and rare earth elements have been approved. The royalty rate for lithium has been set at 3% of the London Metal Exchange price. Niobium’s royalty rate is set at 3% of the average sale price for both primary and secondary sources. Additionally, the royalty rate for rare earth elements (REEs) has been fixed at 1% of the average sale price of rare earth oxide.

Before today, the stock market experienced gains on Tuesday, October 10th. The Sensex saw a rise of 566 points, closing at 66,079 points, while the Nifty gained 177 points, closing at 19,689 points. Among the 30 stocks in the Sensex, 27 recorded gains, with only 3 seeing declines.
