In the match, Pakistan’s star fast bowler, Shadab Khan, struggled to recover from his sudden dip in form. The 24-year-old player took four wickets in the first match against Nepal in the tournament but has since struggled, managing to take only two wickets in the Super 4 stage against Sri Lanka and India. During Pakistan’s Super 4 win against Bangladesh, he remained unsuccessful in taking any wickets.

Discussing Shadab’s poor form, Pakistan’s captain, Babar Azam, analyzed the performance of the bowler and also praised Hasan Ali. “Shadab is bowling very well, but he’s not taking any wickets. So, it seems like he’s not bowling well. He is bowling well, unfortunately, he’s not taking any wickets. He’s one of your best bowlers, along with Nawaz and Shadab,” he said.

“On the other hand, Hasan Ali has shown character, and in the past, in the PSL and in two PSL finals where he bowled the last over, he’s been performing well. So, he has full confidence, but international matches are a different thing,” he added.

Another Super 4 match is left, in which India will face Bangladesh on Friday. Meanwhile, the final match will be played in Colombo between India and Sri Lanka on Sunday.
