According to the outage tracking website, downdetector.com, the social media platform WhatsApp experienced a global outage affecting thousands of users on Wednesday. In the United States alone, over 26,000 people reported the messaging service being down.
After these reports surfaced, the platform owned by Meta stated that they are actively working on the issue and will share updates on the outage as soon as possible. They made this announcement through their official Twitter handle.
In their tweet, WhatsApp stated, ‘We are working diligently to resolve the connectivity issues with WhatsApp and will update you here as soon as possible.’
