New Shark Tank Judge Meets IIT Dropout Azhar Iqbal, who has built a million-dollar company.
According to their LinkedIn profile, they left IIT to start their venture. Shark Tank India has revealed that this season will feature another judge – Azhar Iqbal, the CEO of Inshorts. This announcement was made on Friday, a few days after the news that OYO CEO Ritesh Agarwal and Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal will also be part of the third season of the show.
The show’s producers wrote on Zee, “The news is out. Presenting the latest Shark – Azhar Iqbal, Co-founder and CEO of Inshorts To The Tank.”
Who is Azhar Iqbal?
Azhar Iqbal is a former student of the Indian Institute of Technology – Delhi. He is the Co-founder and CEO of the popular news aggregation application, Inshorts.
He is 30 years old and started Inshorts as a Facebook page in partnership with Deepit Purkayastha and Anunay Arunav.
He launched the application in 2013. After early success, the application was launched for Apple iPhones in 2015.
According to their LinkedIn profile, they left IIT to start their venture. They studied at IIT Delhi from 2009 to 2012.
In 2021, Inshorts raised a round of funding at a reported valuation of $550 million.”
